At her former major home, Buckingham Palace, and at her existing residence, Windsor Castle, the Queen has a workers on hand to consider treatment of most of the chores we non-royals dread: The laundry. Vacuuming. Washing the dishes after a meal.

But when Her Majesty and late husband Prince Philip have been at Wood Cottage on the Sandringham Estate—the location the Duke of Edinburgh fondly referred to as “home”—the Queen felt so, very well, at house that she even set on yellow dishwashing gloves and supplied to cleanse up after lunch, a royal courtier stated.
